Go from 0 to 100 with New Single, "$20 Mints", from Niiice

There seem to be a few pretty classic, tried and true ways to start a punk song: a wash of feedback, or a sample of comedic dialogue. Minnesota band Niiice. decided to do both on their new single "$20 Mints"; the sample being a clip from one of the most memed scenes from The Office: "I DECLARE: BANKRUPTCY!". The actual song starts off with vocalist Roddie Gadeberg droning over a riff that sounds like Slayer as millennials who are really into Waaves. The song builds up quickly, going from restrained to explosive, before breaking out into a grungy hardcore beatdown with Gadeberg screaming his head off over top. It cuts out after one final crescendo of noise, clocking in at just under a minute and a half. We're premiering the track below.

Be sure to catch Niiice. on their tour with Granddad from June 8-15, because I can only imagine that this song rips live.
